Operating Theatre Scheduling |
| Abstract: |
The operating theatre is one of the most important areas of hospital operations that need careful management because of its high potential for cost saving and helps to improve care processes in hospitals.
A critical task to improve this problem is to schedule surgical operations in such a way that physical and human resources of OT are efficiently allocated and patient satisfaction is assured.
In this work, we will formulate a multi objective optimization model in order to assign and sequence a set of surgical cases to surgeons and assistant surgeons, and several multi functional operating rooms simultaneity. We consider multiple objectives such as minimizing waiting time of patient and surgeon, and maximizing OT's utilization and preference of surgeons.
